Private Equity investments since 2006

Coeli has invested in Private Equity since 2006 and Real Estate since 2016. We offer clients to invest alongside us and partake in investments as part of a broader portfolio and via direct investments in individual cases.

We are convinced that Private Equity and Real Estate can make a valuable difference in a long-term portfolio. There are never any guarantees with an investment, and you should always consider the investor base and the risks associated with a specific investment.

Private Equity

Private Equity provides exposure to unlisted companies outside the stock market. Historically, the returns are higher for Private Equity-investments than listed assets and investments, largely due to beneficial entry-points, and the structural increase in value that an unlisted environment enables, combined with close partnership between investors and companies. As investors, we must have a high tolerance for risk and a long-term investment horizon.

Real Estate investments outside the stock market generate returns through structural changes and economies of scale. Direct investments in Real Estate demand substantial capital and a high level of expertise. Our Real Estate investments provide exposure to the Real Estate market outside the stock market.

Our investments typically has potential to generate 3-5x within 3-5 years and with investment teams with solid track records, strong cash flows, and profitability in markets with low sensitivity to economic cycles and with potential for a significant market growth.

Through our own investment company, we develop and invest in direct investments and portfolios within Private Equity and Real Estate and always take active ownership.

Sourcing the investment opportunity

Coeli has established an extensive network of companies, entrepreneurs and investment teams that together comprise a powerful foundation for our sourcing of new investment opportunities.

Through a structured process and with a dedicated sourcing team, we identify and evaluate hundreds of companies and entrepreneurs every year. This creates a valuable platform and for the continued expansion of existing portfolio companies. We typically invest in or start 7-10 new investment cases per year that meet all our investment criteria.

Risks associated with unlisted investments (which are generally not associated with listed companies) are: low liquidity in the share; shares are locked-in as it cannot be sold as easily as listed assets with open market; risk of failiure to achieve growth targets; risk of bankruptcy; unlisted investments do not have the same transparency of shared information as listed companies.. Past performance is not a guarantee of future returns. Unlisted company founded in 2021 with ambition of becoming market leader in roof installation and service.

The business model is based on combining local entrepreneurship with the strength of a large company, which provides coordination advantages that in turn drive strong value development through accelerated organic growth in combination with acquisition-driven growth.

The company has gone from zero in turnover to just over SEK 1 billion since the start in 2021.

Together with Coeli, the company has made capital acquisitions for almost SEK 700 in total.
